New Halloween Puzzle

okay so i set myself up for kevin figuring out the last puzzle; but i learn from my mistakes. this time i didn't name the files with the answer. it is still halloween related but i won't say how unless you nerds can't figure it out after a handful of tries. all three molecules do the same thing, but not in the same place. also note these are just the active sites, the whole thing would be way too big for this.

my guess is hemoglobin cause it looks like its iron based, but she already told me that was wrong.

so my second guess is.. err... umm.....
Is this the molecule that the candy turns into after it is ingested by a young child. I'll give you a clue, is it brown and stikki?

oh wait, now I see the copper based molecule! that brings me to my third guess, and I dunno how this is halloween releated, but

is it horseshoe crab blood?

ding! ding!
i'll give two points for keith. the top one is the active site in hemocyanin, which is what carries oxygen in crab blood (colorless when oxygenless and blue when carrying oxygen). the bottom one is heme, which is the active site of hemoglobin, our blood.
but still need something for the middle one =).

you said it does the same thing, but in different places.
therefore, i'm convinced it's part of a fraternity.

fraternities are the only things that do the same thing in different places????

well, the first thing that came to mind that do *those* things in different places.
