one of my coworkers spent the t-day holiday in the dessert like he usaully does but this time he was 'lucky' enough to hook up with a similarly minded person and get naked. now he actually had proof of such a thing and volunteered a website with photos that he had taken. being a kind soul I helped him clean his cache/history and memory of this happenins since the girl no longer returns his email. this guys like 50 years old so today I made the comment "you must have meet elvis!" and he said.. "na.. but my sister was in a movie with him" so when he remembers what the name is (he's old, it may be a while) I'll have to watch it.

On a Windows 9x computer these files are located in the following locations:
\WINDOWS\Cookies\index.dat
\WINDOWS\History\index.dat
\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\index.dat
\WINDOWS\Cookies\index.dat
\WINDOWS\History\index.dat
\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\index.dat
On Windows 2000 and Windows XP there are several "index.dat" files in these locations:
\Documents and Settings\\Cookies\index.dat
\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\History\History.IE5\index.dat
\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\History\History.IE5\MSHist012001123120020101\index.dat
\Documents and Settings\\Local
Settings\History\History.IE5\MSHist012002010720020114\index.dat
\Documents and Settings\\Local
Internet Files\Content.IE5\index.dat
These files can be very hard to find. If you are in Windows, even with "Show hidden files and folders" enabled, these files are not visible and cannot be found if you do a search for these files. The reason that these files are so invisible is that they are not just hidden, they have been designated as "system" files. System files and folders are treated differently in DOS and Windows and are effectively cloaked from casual searches.
These files/folders may hold a system and/or hidden attribute.
the registry contains typed urls for internet explorer: Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Internet Explorer there is a folder called TypedURLs
remember, being able to erase your histors does not remove the proxy tracker stuff on a server/gateway and most definately will NOT get you out of trouble if someone is reading a log file. it's best to use coworkers computers that are logged in as their profile when they are at lunch for things you don't want on your name. :) like, posting to blogger.
