dual screens is nerdy.
except for the mac video editor people, i'm hardpressed to find people running dual screens that are not nerds. Maybe i have not looked hard enough.

dual screens are only kinda nerdy
i was talking with my definately not computer nerdy advisor and she wanted to use dual screens (for something that didn't need it). granted she didn't know how to do it, but she still thought of it all on her own.

can you really use more than one screen at once? I really like the multiple desktop thing that KDE does at work... I typically use 9 desktops 1 windows and 8 on KDE... I run a vnc server on my linux box vnc to it from my pc and in the vnc session open up servers / clients on a couple other solaris boxes... sometimes I try to explain to people why I setup my desktop that way, the usually get lost on the nested vnc sessions :)...

ohhh, nested vnc, my favorite.
that's also easier on the firewall setup.
