i recieved a call from la sierra university this morning. the head of the chemistry dept. is looking for a new person and my undergraduate institution gave them my info. which was pretty cool of them. it is an interesting prospect as i would enjoy teaching at an sda college but i don't forsee myself persuing this job. 1. LA 2. LA 3. not great timing since keith is still working on his MBA 4. La Sierra campus isn't my favorite 5. low pay
but it was still flattering to get the call. so anyways pray that if God does want me to do this he better make is super obvious by getting keith a job he would dream of having, without him even looking for one, because LA certainly isn't motivating.

pay may be :low" (also depends on what you deem "low", and most any Adventist institution isn't going to by paying market/public institution rate) but you have to take into account the benefits - medical coverage that ROCKS, vacations, (probably) tuition assistance for future kiddos, the experience, adventist colleagues...
LA is LA, but Riverside is at least a bit further out...
ya, i don't expect adventist institutions to pay well. to be honest i don't expect them to be. teaching is a service, not a business so that isn't the major consideration.
going down to Riverside the second of April.... mmm well at least i get an interview =). and if this position doesn't work out an organic prof. is retiring in a couple years. this is interesting, we'll see where it leads.
