jen and i spent a few minutes (hours) and $25 to take 150k miles off the front headlights. you can see the how to on VWvortex if you need to do it on plastic lenses as well.

nice. I even have some plastic polish already. I just need to get the sandpaper out.
if you can't feel the pits in the headlight, then start with the plastic polish and really rub it in hard and work with that. if the light is smooth and just discolored, the polish may be all you need. it won't hurt to start with that and see what it gets you.
when you hit it with the 600 grit... theres no going back, you have to complete it.
