I have been looking off and on for the next monitor to replace the SUN GDM-5410 Sony Trinitron wonder and it just may have to be the Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP. weighing in at 14 lbs, contrast 1000:1, a 24" diagnal with .27mm pitch at 1920x1200, I think i might be able to do something with it. a little on the slow side with 16ms response for black to white. specs say very wide vertical and horizontal viewing angle. i think its got S-video in, and Picture-in-Picture. how handy. looks like its currently $629
For the budget minded, Newegg has a 22" acer for $259, this runs at the 1680x1050 like all of the other 20-22" in this category.

I have a couple of the Dell 20" lcd displays at work and they look way better than the old Sun/Sony Trinitron crts. Go for it with the new display.
mmm new lcd or new color-laser all in one... tough call.

I subscribe to rss feeds of good deals, and you've found that price a while ago. odd.
i think the price dropped to the high 500's for a time, and now it went UP to $669. i should have bought it when it was down. =(
dell direct is now $679, but Costco has it for $609
