MasterCard TOS

I got a little something in the mail today at work, a change in the terms of service for my corporate Mastercard account.

basically having to do with currency conversion rates, and that the rate may not be converted on the day of the transcation.

but the big one: a 1% fee will be charged for each transaction that you make in a country other than the Unites States WHETHER OR NOT THE TRANSACTION WAS IN FOREIGN CURRENCY.

great.
my bank just upgraded my debit/visa card to a debit/mastercard. I'm wondering if this was really and upgrade, or another attempt at my money.

Just another reason VISA totally rocks...

I've yet to have ANY problems or disappointments with them.

though I doubt your problem with rate not being converted on day of transaction is unique to Mastercard. Recently was on a trip outside US and hotel fees were not charged to account until day after I had checked out. Which means I could have gotten worse/better exchange rate...

All banks play dirty... :(

They are in it for their shareholders, not, the customers.
