Wind the coils by hand, salvage the magnets out of hard drives, and fire up the wood working saws to make a 100W wind generator. kinda sounds like fun.

mmm i think we need to build one of these for down here... not much weather that it needs protection from and a reasonable amount of wind.
i seem to have inadvertently ran across a site with cool magnets and some wind turbine kits here
