this is really cool. i sometimes wonder how much i could reduce my power usage and this would be a good way to provide light at night.
that is interesting.. maybe you need a dynamic tensenor to collect energy based off varying wind speed?
put a bunch in a radial pattern and connect to the ends to a common generator so you can catch wind from any direction,
i wonder how the width of the ribbon effects the vibration? whats the optimal length or resonant lenghs depending on wind speed? that would be nice to know.
