norman is kind of fat. reminds me of our first cat 'emily' that the coyotes or some bobcat got. she left and never came back.
what did we learn from this? never name your animal with a human name. its a jinx.
thats why our current cat, femto, is still with us.
your place is kinda far, but we will definatly keep it in mind.
Norman - thats like the calf in City Slickers. :) He's a cute cat.
we didn't name him, he came with a name. he was a stray at the summer camp here (found in the winter) and adopted by one of our coworkers that is moving to canada. i though of changing the cat's name to the coworker kinda as a token memory. janell is even invited for thanksgiving! we just purchased another bed. so, we have a cal king, a queen, a waterbed queen, and about 3 single beds. plenty for everyone. bring your friends! (they can help us with yardwork)
oh my goodness beds! that is certainly an enticer. where'd you get all those beds?
i guess some of the helbley cousins are going to be in boise for thanksgiving (clint & his wife and kathleen & her husband and i'm not sure who else).
We're up for whereever... just decide in time to put in the extra days for vacation (at least a month or two out). On the upside there ought to be some snow somewhere up around spokane so maybe we could all bring snow shoes and do a death march or something.
Seriously, we'd like to have people at our house for thanskgiving. Not that we mind traveling to Boise, we just want to share our new house :)
I do realize it's a ways to get here from Reno, but you can think about it and if you're up for it, we're open. Just so we figure it out in enough time for Dan to put in for time off if necessary...
I put in the vacation time anyway... worst case I do nothing for a few days. Spokane sounds like fun I've only been there for a couple short periods of time.
awesome. i'll break out the snow shoes and get my roadbike out.
checkout the updated pics of the cat. he got ticked when we locked him in the bathroom while moving a new bed in, and decided to camp out in the sink.
this bed origioanlly cost 1300, it's a cal king dewsbury model from sterns and foster, and we got it with two new king pillows, their pillowcases with ruffles, a dust ruffle, fitted sheets, matress, box springs (split), and frame. i dont' think that origional cost included the cloth. we paid 350$ for it (used for 5 years, looks brand new, one middle aged lady slept on ONE side of it.) - we went to look at it out of curiousity. after moving this monster and setting it up i feel like we got a definate deal.
to put this in perspective, check out the price of our dust skirt (which did come from pottery barn) pottery barn link, shows it as being $119.00
ope, my bad. we've the 14" dustskirt. that knocks us back to $109.oo
i love norman in the sink!!!
alright looks like spokane is the place for thanksgiving. we'll have to look at our vacation time and take some. then decide if we want to fly or drive or maybe just beem (or is it beam?) me up scotty.
spokane it is. its like SPOiled citizen KANE What days were you guys thinking of doing the death march with a road bike? and that last pic of norman.. wow. I take back anything bad I said about him. he's so CUTE, and the blue bath? yeah.. definatly a winner. the master in our house, and the master in the rental is both blue. people after my own heart.
that bath is our half bath off the garage. i'm not sure what day we'll do the death ride. i'll try to be on the lookout for mountain bikes at the garage sales and see if i can add some to my collection of 1 bikes.
i would imagine alodia and i would take wednesday off so as to accomodate all the early arrivers (or maybe just one of us, like me) we'll see what she says.
check out our coworkers cat, bailey in the sink. disturbing.
I'm a little concerned about the weather prospects for a bike ride. Last year we got lucky here and it was acceptable weather for a ride, years previous we have seen rain (snow at higher altitudes), sunshine, wide variety. Snowshoes are easier to transport (for those who may fly) and snowshoing while it is snowing beats riding in the rain. Are there any mountains nearby that have guarenteed snow?
I just looked at your altitude... :( 800 feet, probably not too likely to have much snow.
Maybe you all want biking just so you can see me in my bike shorts :).
Hey we got a weather forcast for November... :)
weather
I know for a fact you stuff at least one tennis ball in those bike shorts of yours. see appropriate picture above.
instead of death march road bike (that was a joke, but no on seems to have got it) do you have any rooms to paint? I'm really good with spackle now. I just fixed 4 popping nails in the ceiling. I'll be happy to continue my practice work on your new place.
Dan, I think you missed the 1 that was possibly in front of the 800. We're 1900-2300 feet above sea level, depending on where you are in the Spokane area...
there's mtns (w/in 1-2 hrs) that are 6000+ ft, so possibly some snow in Nov. Depends on crazy weather.
I'm invited too. I'm special... I'd like to come but I have no idea if I'll be able to. Will find out more once I start work. They aren't working labor day so looks like holidays are off but will see...
Okay, check this out.
