I'm going paintballing wednesday night after board meeting. (we'll, actually i'm skipping out on part of board meeting to go)
500 balls are about 14$ or so at fred meyers.
so, having not even gone yet, OR purchased the balls (A friend is loaning me his gun and air) i managed to find a solution for thanksgiving.
check out my ebay bid.
i probably should have held out and got a better trigger / longer barrel, but the price seemed good. that's about 80$ less then buying it new if you DON"T count the aftermakert barrel.
I think i can get us another guy and 3 guns. anyone have one gun and mask they can bring?
i can see sarah and jen playing, but alodia will probably wimp out on us. we all have our strengths, hers is knowing what sports are worth engaging in.

i'm mildly interested. if the gun was there I'd spring for ammo. where do you get the air, dive shop?
I'm not sure if i'd purchase a gun on my own or not. arn't the crappy ones lke 50 bucks at walmart?
I'd need a mask to play because I DO care about my eyes you headshot freeks. lemme know what you turn in for gear and Ill throw in some grubbies for the thanksgiving bash.
paintball on snowshoes in the high country... the few times I have gone paintballing we have rented equipment and it was about $15 for the gun/air and $10 for the paint.
my friend just had 3 guys move in with him (nephews) so the guns are no longer up for grabs.
you can get cheep guns with a mask off ebay for less then 70.
air comes from sporting good shops, and the tanks hold up to 4000psi, so make sure you know what your doing if you do it yourself.
i like dan's snow shoe idea. problem is finding a few more people up for it.
frozen paintballs... that could put the fear pain in your body... I opt for kev looking around and seeing about renting some guns. Also, maybe kev can get some guys, or gals, from his church to come out and play.
hey kev, I'm assuming there is snow in your neck of the woods, can you send some gps cordinates of where you would go snow shoeing.. or maybe consider taking friday as a ski day somewhere near spokane.
mountspokane is probably the closest place with snow (and skiing)
not sure the cordinates though, but it's about 30 miles north east of spokane.
i think i've got at least 4 guys and their guns lined up, maybe even another 3 guys with free air. i'll look into rentals.

currently there is NO SNOW in spokane, but i would not be surprised if there were a few inches over thanksgiving. I don't plan on there being very much at this level. dan really wants to go snowshoing, so check with him before you don't bring them.
I'd rather go paintballing than snowshoeing, and rather go snowboarding than either. :) But I'd be happy doing any/all of the above.
there's snow in the snow areas though - w/in 1-1.5 hours of here...
i'm in for paintball. get the rental lined up (gun, air, paint, and mask) and i'll throw the grubbies in.

i think three is enough. we'll rent more if we want them. now i can take me and 2 friends to play with the other friends.
3 should be fine. if lots of people go we'll just swap out, play eliminatino or something.
hey kev, just line up the rentals for us... we each want our own guns 1 box of paint for sarah and I togather. everyone needs their own gun, the more people active in the game the more fun it is.

I've got some left over paint from the house (we are moving this weekend), maybe I should bring a 1gal can and we can throw some dry ice in, and set it in the middle of the playing field.
does anyone have a laser sight for their gun? my aim is terrible.
we're thinking about getting a couple of guns from sierratrading post... we'll keep you updated.
they also have a box of 2000 paintballs for $45, but that is only marginally better than the 500 for $14 if that is true at fred myer.
i did order the super squisher for applesauce making for my kitchenaid. so i forsee fresh applesauce at thanksgiving.
dan and sara are more then welcome to use my 2 guns. i'll need to get a 3rd mask, but they are like 20$ (and cheaper then renting)

I've already recieved the first of the three guns this week, and hope to see the second one next week. the third shipper is being pretty slow in responding to me. he's had two days and i've heard nothing. i hope to see that the week after.
no laser site, but those 'red dot' scope thingys you look through are a popular upgard.
the tippmann 98 custom came with a taskman 4x 15mm scope on it. so if you can squish your eyeball behind that your welcome to use that gun.
hey keith, no need to aim when you're playing rambo... just run and shoot... I was doing it last summer and took one at 30 feet on my neck (bare skin). Looked like a viscious hicky, kinda stung for a while too.
and thus the reason I do not have burning desire to play paintball :)
i played 4 games this afternoon with about 12 people. i managed to go through about 40 paint balls.
does this mean i'm too patient?
i think i can pickup about 8 cases of paint for about 200$. most people locally are spending 40$ per case, so if i buy in bulk i'll sell to them at cost and keep what i want. dan, before you plan on spending 40$ for a case, let me see what i can get in here before thanksgiving.

we leave sunday since it is two days back to reno. not sure what time we'll leave yet.
just called sierra trading post... our guns will ship ups ground today or first thing tomorrow which means they'll be there by wednesday.
