It looks like Chrysler (thats Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep) is now extending a lifetime warranty on the powertrain. Chryslers version of the powertrain is the Engine, Transmission, and drive system. the warranty is non transferable, and the catch is that you have to take your vehicle in every 5 years for a free inspection. you have 60 days from the anniversary of the your purchase date. this is on remaining 2007, and 2008 vehicles.
the catch is that most americans do not keep their vehicles that long. if you sell in the first 3 years, the vehicle warranty reverts to a 3 year / 36k mile warranty. its not to likely a dodge, jeep or chyrsler will be on my next vehicle list, but its nice to know what they have.

88 * x
this inspires me to consider there may always be room for improvement.
That said, perhaps this is taking the next iteration to far.

this link has a crazy story of a kid and his chemistry. So many good paragraphs, I don't even know which one to paste into here.

Disposable Camera coil launcher

check out Jonathan Fillippi's version of the coil launcher This is a fun and non-dangeros project for those people who like to throw projectiles magnetically. It simply works by placing a ferromagnetic projectile at one end of a coil and pulsing some power in it. The trick is to switch off power when the projectile is at the middle of the coil, there are some ways to do it but it isn't important now. The second trick is to use a coil as close as possible to projectile to maximize coupling and the third to avoid saturation, that means keeping the current not to high.

some modicum of sanity
cybersquatting is ruled to be illegal. thesimpsonsmovie.com was registered to someone who had nothing to do with the simpsons or fox so it was ruled he couldn't sell it for big bucks to fox.

VectorTD
Thanks kev for the link to VectorTD, you have me addicted to it, and when it takes an hour or so to play a game, you can really burn some time with this thing. I'm absolutely SICK of the fish commercial at the beginning. what are they selling, sand, seawater, or stupidity? its for sure not gum. I did 10 seconds look of the sourcecode for the web page (literally) and drug out the link straight to the game (here). it plays full screen.
if your super lame, and need a hack, try this one. pretty much infinite everything, plus the ability to download the .SWF file but i'm not nerdy enuf to care to figure out how to open it from the local machine (anyone want to provide some hints?) i personally like the challenge of the regular game.
