i wrote an algorithm that intillegencly split long strings like that for myweb page. the questions is, is it worth it? no. if you don't like how it looks, change your font size on your comptuer or run with open source and change how the css is intrepreted. I beleive the power of html/css is not in it's finaly quality, but in it's simplicity. if you want 'everything' use cutepdf with ghostscript to cram the web full of pdf's. otherwise, turn a blind eye. that's my attitude.
